Bonito is a small, 15,000 inhabitant city located aproximately 250km from the capital Campo Grande. Crystal clear water springs teeming with fish are a trademark of Bonito, but there are also many waterfalls and pools. For the more adventurous travelers, there are cave dives and rappel tours.

Tourists can enjoy Bonito at any time of the year. Apart from the famous Pantanal, the city of Bonito is one of the major tourist destinations in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The town itself has no attractions, but the natural resources of the area are impressive. It is common to mix Pantanal and Bonito in the same trip.

The place is like a big natural water amusement park, where you can do canoeing, biking, trekking, rappelling, snorkeling along the rivers, basic or advanced scuba diving in water-filled caves (depth up to 150m) and light rafting, where you can see the wildlife at the margins of the rivers.
