Campos do Jordão is a beautiful village located aproximately 180 Km from São Paulo (2,5 Hs by car) in a mountain chain called “Serra da Mantiqueira”. It is constructed in traditional German style and it reminds tourists of a Swiss Village.
It is 800m above São Paulo (aprox 1500m above see level). The city is famous due to its fresh air, the cozy village with its restaurants, bars and stores.
Campos do Jordão also has nice attractions such as a breathtaking mountain lift, the ecological park (horto florestal), the governor´s winter palace and so on.
During wintertime (Jul to Sep) it gets really busy, especialy in the weekends. However, the city is a great destination all year round (most of the stores are closed on Mondays except during high season).
It is a nice option for one-day tours or to spend the weekend while in São Paulo.
