Duration: Guests arriving in Brazil in DAY 1 and departing in the DAY 5
visiting Itacaré and its surrounding region in the south of the Bahia state, one of the main ecotourism destinations of Brazil.
Guest & Package Profile: Itacaré is a small and cozy village in the state of Bahia. Throughout the past years it has become a “cool” destination for youngsters, couples and adventurers. A lot of foreigners live in the town. This package is a great option for people interested in getting close to nature and visiting new landscapes by the Brazilian northeastern coast. There’s a good balance of moderate physical activity and
leisure moments passing through marvelous natural places along the itinerary.
Passengers will be able to visit great waterfalls, rivers, the Mata Atlântica Rainforest and also have contact with all kinds of local folklore and the interesting native people.There's also a very famous and professional SURF SCHOOL at Itacaré.
When to go: All the year round. December to February are the hottest months and also the high season. July is also considered high season in some hotels / lodges. The rainy season is from end of May to August.

ITINERARY - 5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS
1st DAY – Ilhéus / Itacaré
Arrival at Ilhéus. Pick-up at the airport and transfer to Itacaré (1 hour drive). Reception and accommodation in one of the Pousadas.Free time to walk around the city. Overnight at Itacaré.
2nd Day - Engenhoca / Havaizinho / Camboinha / Itacarezinho and Tijuipe Waterfall
After breakfast, group will go by car for 15 km on a road until the beginning of the trail. From then, they’ll walk for around 10 minutes until Havaizinho Beach, which is a beautiful beach just accessible in the low tide. Continue with another trail that takes around 25 minutes until the Engenhoca Beach. Free time to take a bath and visit the natural pools. Then group will go until a wonderful sightseing place to see the beaches of Camboinha and Itacarezinho. There, they’ll have a stop-over for bathing and lunch (lunch box included). Continue by ground vehicle till the Tijuipe waterfall. There, there’s a small bar wherepassengers can eat some tidbit.Return to the city.Overnight at Itacaré.
3rd Day – Arruda / Jeribucaçu and Usina Waterfall
After breakfast, group will departure for a 9Km drive until the beginning of a trail. Then there´s a 15min walk until Arruda beach. Afterwards, additional 15 minutes walk until the remote beach of Jeribucaçu passing by a mangrove region. Stop over for rest and lunch (lunch box included). Afterwards, light trekking until the Usina waterfall for a refreshing bath. After a last 15 minute walk, group will reach a pick up spot where the car will be waiting to return to the city. Overnight at Itacaré.
4th Day - Prainha
After breakfast, light trekking through the “urban” beaches of Resende, Tiririca, Costa and Ribeira (beaches closer to downtown). It is a light trail with Atlantic Forest including a beautiful spot to take pictures. Afterwards, visit to Prainha beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. Return late afternoon. Lunch Box Included. Overnight at Itacaré.
5th Day – Itacaré / Ilhéus
After breakfast, check-out. Group will visit the “Lagoa Encantada” Enchanted Lagoon (passengers should take clothes to wear after the tour). Drive for 49km on a road, more 2km off-road and then the last 20 minutes by boat. Group will be able to take a bath under the waterfalls. Lunch (not included). Then, group will go by boat for 10 minutes until the other side of the Lagoon. From this point, group willm go to the Ilhéus Airport for around 31km. Arrival at the Airport and flight to your next destination.
*The tour to “Lagoa Encantada”, can be done only if your flight or bus departure after 19:00hs, if not group will go directly to the Airport.
