São Paulo City

  • State: São Paulo
  • City: São Paulo
  • Region: Southeast

A world called São Paulo. São Paulo cannot deny the habit of working and the vocation for business. The city never sleeps. With a lot of effort, its 12 million citizens were able to turn it into the most important city of Latin America. But that's not all there is to it. Aside from its millions of cultural and gastronomic attractions, it also offers great tourism options. Bela Vista (the Italian neighborhood), Liberdade (the Japanese neighborhood, with the biggest Japanese colony outside Japan), the streets 25 de Março and José Paulino with Arabic and Israeli flavors. In those places one can have a great idea of the different immigrants that settled there to improve and enlighten the city of São Paulo.

The city also offers an intense artistic and cultural life. You will not know São Paulo completely if you don't pay a visit to one of the museums or the great cultural centers. They have got collections of famous international painters and national artists. If you like historical monuments do not leave the churches of the city out of your tour plans, specially the Convento Nossa Senhora da Luz, built in 1579.

Take advantage of the nightlife and check out the bars, the quiet and the busy ones, discos and nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, performances, shows, all kinds of dance performances, pubs and everything else that you can imagine.

São Paulo is not only concrete. Don’t miss our great Ibirapuera Park and the Morumbi neighborhood, with the Governor Palace and the “Casa da Fazenda”, a great restaurant with a beautiful garden and an old “senzala”, were the slaves used to live in the past. If you like soccer, don’t miss the Morumbi stadium, the biggest private owned soccer stadium in the world.
