Walking Rally at “Pelourinho”

“Pelourinho” is the historical center of Salvador city. It is a very interesting place, very cultural, full of African influence.  This activity consists in dividing the team in sub-groups promoting a competition among them. They have unusual and funny tasks to be completed. The most interesting aspect of this game is the interaction with the locals. It also calls the participant´s attention to important items faced by globalized companies such as the language barrier and cultural differences.

THE ACTIVITY: The tasks of each sub-group are the following:
First, they receive a photo of a famous local “baiana” , with a famous pelourinho attraction in the background. Based on the photo information they have to find this person and take a picture with her.

Secondly, they have to find a lottery house and bet at it. They also receive a photo of its façade to help them finding the place.
Afterwards, the have to find a famous bar at Pelourinho called “Bar do Cravinho” and order a famous drink called Strychinine.
Finally the participants will also have to locate a famous dreadlock tent (it is not quite a dreadlock, it is a famous Brazilian decorative hair item). They will also have to take a picture of it and 2 of the team participants we have to apply it in their hairs (it is fast and removable).
